The Birth Center at Northfield Hospital welcomes board-certified lactation consultant Nicole Martens, MAN, CNP, IBCLC.
Nicole cares for moms and newborns in the Birth Center. After babies go home, families can meet with Nicole one-on-one in a comfortable private office at the Birth Center. All women are welcome, wherever your baby was born.
Appointments: 507-646-1216. (You’ll need a referral from your provider if you had your baby someplace else.)
Nicole is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 20 years of experience. She’s also a pediatric nurse practitioner, with graduate degrees from St. Catherine University in St. Paul.
“I want to help people meet their definition of success on their breastfeeding journey, whether this is their first baby, second baby or more,” Nicole says. “Each baby is different, and therefore each breastfeeding experience is different.”
Nicole loves working with families in a variety of environments. She strives “to treat others the way I want my family to be treated,” she says.
